The Pioneer is a multi floor event venue located in the heart of Stephen Avenue in downtown Calgary.
Our space features iconic original sandstone walls, harkening back to the buildings heritage. Clean lines and modern finishes make this space ideal for any event.

The Mill is a street-facing extension of The Pioneer’s main floor, equipped with a separate entrance and the ability to be closed off by a sliding glass and iron door from the rest of the venue. This space features our iconic bar and makes it perfect for small cocktail receptions on it’s own, pop-up shops, cocktail receptions and more.

The Mezzanine is the upper level of The Pioneer, which has an open view to the main floor. This space is perfect for a bar and lounge area, small meetings, breakout space, silent auctions, and more.

Event Capacity: 70 standing, 40 seated
The Tall Gallery is the lower level of The Pioneer, and boasts a 24ft ceiling, really living up to its name! This space is perfect for cocktail hours between your wedding ceremony and reception, a dance floor, studio photography, breakout space, and even a basketball court (yes… it’s really been done!)
